About Fork to Pork

Fork to Pork was created to help address food waste while at the same time humanely caring for animals and producing high-quality, nutritious food. Nearly 40% of all food produced is not consumed. Why not prevent the food from being wasted and instead collect it to raise happy, healthy hogs?

Too many pigs are raised on a variety of factory farms in inhumane, unsustainable ways where they cannot practice their natural rooting behavior. Too often, these animals are raised on a low quality diet of corn/grain/soy hog feed, leading to low quality meat. You are what you eat and this pork is just a version of corn/grain/soy.

Fork to Pork was founded by a young female farmer who loves animals, caring for livestock, and helping animals live high-quality lives. She also also values feeding her local island community nutrient-dense food.
